Debra (Malmborg) Brandt

Debra Lynn Brandt, age 64 of Horace ND passed away Friday, March 15, 2024,  surrounded by her family at her home, after a nine-year fight with Breast Cancer.

Deb was born July 5th, 1959, in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated from St Peter High School in 1977 and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She started her accounting career at Pepsi, then Pactiv, and most recently at The Avalon.

She was united in marriage to Dale Jay Brandt on October 8th, 1988. She was a devoted mother to Dacotah Lynn and grandmother to Raelynn Mae and Milo Jo. She loved being a grandma, reading, scrapbooking, card making, and cooking. She also loved her coffee and talking politics. Deb will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the love she shared with those around her. She has a legacy of cherished memories that will be forever remembered by all who knew her.

Deb is survived by her husband Dale, daughter Dacotah, and granddaughters Raelynn and Milo. Also, survived by her mother Ginny, and stepfather Tuff Miller, sister Kris (Dale) Janning and daughter Megan Janning, sister Ann (Rob) Nielsen and children Katie (Anthony) Johnson, Cole (Jess Whittaker) Nielsen, and her brother-in-law Dion (Lisa) Brandt, and son Parker Brandt. Along with numerous cousins, friends, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father John Frederic Malmborg, and stepmother Judi, also her mother-in-law Carol Brandt.

Celebration of Life Service:  Monday, March 18, 2024, at 11 am in Horace Lutheran Church, Horace, ND.

Interment:  Horace Lutheran Cemetery, Horace, ND at a later date.
